Award of Excellence
Skills Development

Seaway Valley Construction and Trades Association was awarded the Eastern Ontario Skills Development Award .

Each year the Eastern Ontario Training Board chooses a business or group that works towards the skills development of their staff or employees. Over the past number of years many members of SVCTA have taken a lot of time to make sure the right skills are being offered at the high school level to ensure there will be future trades people for the local industry needs.

A lot of this award is based on Guy and Luc's involvement in the High School Trades curriculum and also the associations participation in the OPTYC Program.

Presenting is Denis Thibault to members: Marcel Caron, Carolyne O'Reilly of Winmar, Roy Perkins of Rona Perkins Home Centre, Gary Jans of Ray-Jans Construction.
